Suzie is currently appearing in the film “Mao’s Last Dancer” directed by Bruce Beresford, and has appeared in  many other films, TV series and theatre productions in Australia and the USA. Her professional career began when she was recruited from college to become an Intern at The White House in Washington, D.C.  Having studied performance and acting in the USA (Los Angeles & New York) combined with an extensive business acumen and production background makes Suzie a genuine asset to all classes.  Suzie is also coaches actors on Visas and basically “getting into the industry”.

John HigginsProfessor John Higgins – Dialects, specializing in American Accents

John Higgins was born in Sydney and moved to the USA after graduating from St. Ignatius College, Riverview.  He is a master at Shakespeare having appeared at the West End in London and Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. John has trained Australian actors who have gone to the USA to work, i.e., Luke Ford “The Mummy 3”, Chris Hemsworth “Star Trek”,Thor, Isabelle Lucas “Daybreakers”, Transformers, Yvonne Strekowski “Chuck”, Rose Byrne and many more.

Derek Jay SteenDerek Jay Steen – Multimedia & Web Guru

Derek has been behind and infront of the camera since he was born. Literally. He’s a professional photographer and videographer that specializes in web productions. He’s the Community Leader for Viddler.com which requires him to write articles on featured videos and has helped the community on Viddler evolve in to what it is today. He has so much knowledge about the web that he can’t help but to spill it on to others. Derek is giddy.

Michaal graduated with distinction from the University of Wollongong, with a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in performance.   Her University skills and her competence and extensive experience  in Production and acting makes her a wonderful addition as one of our teachers to offer performers the skills to improve and master the capabilities of their voice to work in radio, theatre and film.


Katie RyersonKate Ryerson – Auditioning and Acting – Guest Speaker

Kate is a passionate performer with over 10 years experience in both Theatre and Television. After studying at the Actors Centre and Faith Martin Castings she went on to work in production.  Kate’s eclectic resume includes short films, TVC, Theatre and Television such as lead roles in the US Discovery channel series ‘Deadly Women’. She was also the casting director and 1st assistant director on the production.A talented and versatile performer Kate has learnt from some of the leading figures in Australia’s entertainment industry. She now has a passion for sharing her experience and knowledge.
